the 1820s Germantown was known as Pea Ridge, named for
the strip of land that divided the area from north to south
and eventually became the railroad line.

population of 40,203, its residents are proud of their city where

of parkland, a comprehensive fitness and recreation complex,
extensive sports programs, community chamber orchestra

Charity Horse Show
Organized in 1948, this five-day event in early June is one of the
largest multi-breed horse shows in the United States, attracting
700 to 1,000 horses. Classes range from kids and horses in costumes
to Tennessee walking horses to the grand prix finale
